Attend a training to learn more about completing your self-study or becoming a site visitor.
Site Visitor Training
This training is designed to provide exposure to the Standards of Accreditation (SoA) and explore the role and functions of a site visitor. The training has two parts: a self-paced training component and a real-time training component. The self-paced training must be completed prior to the day of the synchronous training. Additional details will be provided at the time of registration.
This training is open to those interested in becoming a site visitor and is required for prospective site visitors to be eligible to conduct site visits. The criteria for being a site visitor can be found here. Experienced visitors are encouraged to attend this training at least every five years. There are no fees to attend.

Become an APA Site Visitor for Doctoral, Internship, and/or Postdoctoral Programs

This training is designed to provide exposure to the SoA for doctoral, internship, and postdoctoral programs and the role and functions of the site visitor. This training is open to those interested in becoming a site visitor for doctoral, internship, and/or postdoctoral programs, as well as experienced site visitors. Attendees will be required to complete an asynchronous online training prior to the day of the synchronous training. Additional details will be provided at the time of registration. Self-Study Training

This training is designed to provide guidance on preparing a self-study based on the Standards of Accreditation (SoA) and what to expect during a site visit.
This training is open to those interested in learning more about the SoA and may be especially helpful to those submitting self-studies in the near future. There are no fees to attend. CE credits will not be provided.
Self-study trainings are not an avenue for individual program consultation; please contact the office if you have questions specific to your program.
Preparing an APA Accreditation Program Self-Study for Doctoral, Internship, and Postdoctoral Programs

This training is designed to provide guidance on preparing a self-study based on the Standards of Accreditation (SoA) for doctoral, internship, and postdoctoral programs and what to expect during a site visit. Specifically, this training will provide a comprehensive review of Standard II of the SoA and address key aspects of the other standards of the SoA. To get the most out of the training, attendees with limited knowledge of the SoA are strongly encouraged to complete an asynchronous online training on the SoA prior to the day of the synchronous training. Additional details will be provided at the time of registration. There are no fees to attend this training. CE credits will not be provided.
