• No cost to participants for attending.
• Required of new visitors to be eligible to conduct accreditation site visits. Please review the criteria for being a site visitor. There is a particular need for generalists (psychologists in areas other than clinical, counseling and school).
  
• Open to new site visitors and experienced site visitors. Experienced visitors are encouraged to attend the training at least every five years.
• Provide training regarding how to conduct a site visit under the Standards of Accreditation (SoA).
  
• The CoA makes a special effort to ensure diversity among site visitors. Therefore, the commission strongly encourages the nomination of women and members of underrepresented groups.

• No cost to participants for attending.
• Open to anyone interested in learning more about the Standards of Accreditation (SoA) or Standards of Accreditation for Master’s Programs (SoA-M) and how to apply them in being responsive to the self-study instructions.
• May be especially helpful to programs that will be submitting self-studies in the near future for initial or continued accreditation.
• These workshops are not an avenue for individual program consultation; please contact the office if you have questions specific to your training program.
  

Preparing an APA Accreditation Program Self-Study for Doctoral, Internship, and Postdoctoral Programs

This training is designed to provide guidance on preparing a self-study based on the Standards of Accreditation (SoA) for doctoral, internship, and postdoctoral programs and what to expect during a site visit. Specifically, this training will provide a comprehensive review of Standard II of the SoA and address key aspects of the other standards of the SoA. To get the most out of the training, attendees with limited knowledge of the SoA are strongly encouraged to complete an asynchronous online training on the SoA prior to the day of the synchronous training. Additional details will be provided at the time of registration. There are no fees to attend this training. CE credits will not be provided.
